Meade Delivers Motivational Staff Development For Education Sector

Delegates say David delivered “the best staff development event in 26 years”

Few industries are under as much pressure as the education sector.  Where change is the only constant, maintaining a motivated, happy, and effective team can be an impossible task.  To this end, David was invited to develop a custom staff development program that would ‘reset’ the mindset of a busy group of educational professionals at NRC, one of the largest and fastest growing educational providers in the country.

By working with the conference team and building a program from the ground up, David was able to lead a 2.5 hour session that was interactive, high energy, and focused on developing the competencies required to bring a fast changing organisation even closer together.  The sessions were driven around the important role that meaningful engagement play in achieving the high standards set by the organisation, and how each individual has the ability to make fundamental change to the way their services are delivered every day.  The session was so successful, that delegates stayed a further full hour to talk to David over and above the allocated time – surely a staff development day first!

Speaking of David’s role in the event, event organiser Steven Lavery said:

Davids presentation was very inspiring leading one of the staff to comment “the best staff development event in 26 years.” From my perspective as the organiser of the event it met exactly with my requirements. The colleagues who attended the event were copmpltely engaged and still talk in a positive way about it. Other colleagues who were not part of the conference who have heard some of the positive comments have been asking questions like “why do we never get speakers like that?” In terms of recommendation I would be saying, book David Meade now he’s going to be huge!

Co-organiser echoed the feedback and recalled the success of some the the fun interactive elements:

The presentation was totally engaging and memorable. As a staff development exercise it was an excellent way of uplifting and motivating staff. The humour was very appropriate and infectious and people are still able to repeat Liz Carey’s grocery list! I have never witnessed staff staying behind on a Friday afternoon after 4pm so that is a tribute to how well the presentation was received. One member of staff said it was the best staff development she had been on in her 30 years in teaching. I would certainly recommend David as a speaker to other organisations.

As teaching is a passion area for him, David continues to work closely with education providers on areas of engagement, motivation, and personal/professional effectiveness.
