David & Team Meade lend a helping hand at the EY Big Event

Over 1500 EY delegates agree on building a Better Working World together

For two days, straight after the Christmas break, David and his team were honoured to work alongside EY at their all Ireland event held in the Convention Centre Dublin. David Meade Ltd. had been working to bring this event together over the course of 9 months and David himself was the lead host and facilitator across both days.

To kick off on day 1, over 500 managers from all the EY offices in Ireland participated in interactive sessions that focussed on the science of motivation, influence and persuasion. Following this highly energetic session, delegates delved into an insightful personality profiling exercise whereby they were split into four teams and were asked to complete individual and group activities to explore what they’d discovered in more depth. To finish off the day, delegates participated in the impactful Big Picture activity. Teams were asked to complete activities, collect resources and contribute in the creation of a mural, that was revealed at the evening event, and the became the backdrop of the conference the next day. The buzz in the room when the mural was unveiled was electrifying.

Day 2 was another jam-packed day, but instead of 500 delegates, there were over 1500. All EY Ireland employees travelled to Dublin to participate in activities facilitated by David, that focussed on motivation, engagement, high performance and community engagement. The highlight for many of the delegates on day 2 was the final Helping Hands activity. Delegates were asked to create, from scratch, a prosthetic hand, to be sent to Cambodia and Uganda for those who have lost their arms due to land mines. The care and pride that the participants took in creating a useful implement was evident in the feedback that was received after the event.

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a successful event and we look forward to assisting further organisations in similar events.
