David Meade, NI Mentalist, joined Young Leaders NI for Northern Ireland’s fourth annual Young Leaders Conference which was held on 12thJune in Riddel Hall, Belfast.
Young Leaders NI is a group formed by the Institute of Directors, Junior Chamber International Belfast, the Northern Ireland Young Solicitors’ Association, and the Chartered Accountants Ireland Ulster Society Young Professionals Group. The aim of the event being to encourage and inspire the leaders of tomorrow across industry and the professional services in Northern Ireland – through education, sharing ideas and creating personal development opportunities.
Each year the conference has brought together over 240 young leaders to share best practice and learn from established business leaders and from each other. This year’s highly anticipated event, entitled ‘Secrets of Success’, was no exception and was once again a huge sell out.
Sinead Fox of Young Leaders NI spoke highly of David Meade’s role as event host; “Engaging a room of 200+ young professionals from a variety of backgrounds is no easy feat but this was effortless for David. Speaking at the launch of the Conference in April, David Meade said: “I’m so pleased to be joining the Young Leaders again for what has become one of the hottest conference tickets in the city. David also formally opened the search for Northern Ireland’s Young Leader of the Year 2015 and made the first call for nominations. Recognition of outstanding young professionals who show exceptional leadership skills is an important focus for Young Leaders NI. This is now the fourth year of the highly coveted accolade which is kindly sponsored by global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills LLP.
A huge congratulations was awarded to John Ross Armstrong, the well deserved winner of the 2015 Herbert Smith Freehills Young Leader of the Year award. John was awarded for his achievements with his own business, Greentown Environmental Ltd.
