David Meade was delighted to launch Praxis Care’s ‘Elephant in the Room’ initiative a mental health anti stigma campaign as part of World Mental Health Day.
Praxis Care is a charity empowering adults and children with mental ill health, learning disability or an acquired brain injury to enjoy every day living, irrespective of the complexity of their needs.
Irene, Director of Quality & Governance at Praxis commented on working with David for the campaign;
“David performed to a large group of Praxis Care’s staff who came from a variety of work positions and situations. All of the staff members were riveted by his performance and that is a reflection on David’s ability to engage the audience with his quick wit, his understanding of his audience’s needs. In making his material relevant and his skill in injecting a tension and humour into his presentation so that everyone is ‘caught up in the moment’.
Everyone went away from the corporate event wondering how someone can understand body language, thought processes and reactions so well to predict outcomes with such accuracy. However the fun element did not take away from the very pertinent learning in David’s whole presentation.
David was a very engaging speaker – unfortunately for the people sitting with him – ‘he can read minds.”
