David was honoured to take part in the much anticipated launch of the 2013 Iveco Stralis at the breathtaking Titanic Signature Building.  NI Trucks headed up the exclusive event that was attended by invitation only, and it served to mark the climax of a country wide tour for the vehicle.

Speaking on David’s contribution to the event, Group Marketing Manager Sarah Drysdale said;

David’s performance at our new product launch was outstanding. He enthralled our guests and his performance finished our VIP evening on a superb high. The most impressive aspect of the experience is David’s unique style, wit and ability to make people feel part of the evening. David is one the most personable people that I have come across. He engaged with many of our guests during his performance, but more importantly, afterwards he spent several hours going around each table speaking to individuals and groups of people representing some of the most successful businesses in Northern Ireland. His down-to-earth attitude is refreshing. David has a gift for  inspiring people and we plan to work with David again in the very near future.

Heads of Industry Call on Davids Expertise in Change Management

The hospitality and tourism industry have always been passion areas for David.  Having worked extensively in  these sectors in both the UK and the USA, he has always had a very strong affinity for the idiosyncrasies of these critical components of our economies.  Delivering a session that emphasised the importance of strong decision making and a clearly defined leadership strategy, the interactive session was deemed the highlight of the annual event by Chief Executive Colin Neil.

Speaking of David’s role on the day, Colin Neil said;

David’s skilled and  delivery of our corporate message made him by far the most popular speaker we have ever engaged.  The event was an outstanding success and there is no doubt that the positive result was in the majority down to David. His expertise and professionalism were evident from the beginning, with David taking considerable time to not only understand our needs but to understand the audience and provide a targeted programme. The feedback from attendees was the most positive we have ever received. It is not often that I would unreservedly recommend someone but in this case I would and indeed I would go further and say that David is without doubt the most professional, entertaining and skilled corporate speaker I have ever met. I look forward to engaging David’s services again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to include a highly energetic, motivational and above all professional speaker in their event.

Chamber And Lexus Join Forces At Annual Networking Summit

Chamber Event audience

David was selected as the keynote speaker to close the landmark annual  Chamber of Commerce annual networking event which is designed to give leading businesses from across the country an opportunity to engage and network with each other.  Huge thanks to Lexus and Charles Hurst Belfast, whose partnership with David made the appearance possible.

Commenting on David’s contribution to the day, event organiser Richard Willis said;

David exceeded expectations on all levels when addressing the Chamber’s Annual Conference. He commanded the audience of Northern Irish business leaders with a mix of clever wit and a genuine business understanding. A seemingly effortless ability to blend business theory and fun is a rare and brilliant mix. It didn’t take long for David to turn the traditionally sceptical Belfast audience into putty in his hands with his intelligent, well thought out and relevant content. . David was the highlight of the event and was key in pulling the whole event together. David is a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with.

Speaking on the topic of “Risk and Reward in times of change”, David’s session proved a huge success outlining the challenges and opportunities that face innovative organisations pushing their operations forward.

Driving International Olympic Spirit Ahead of 7000 Competitors Arrive

Volunteer Tug of War 1sml

Earlier this year David was honoured to be invited to lead the motivation effort for the record breaking International World Police and Fire Games.  The largest volunteer event of it’s kind in history, David designed a bespoke session that would excite, inspire, and motivate the delegates to make it the most successful event of it’s kind.

Speaking of David’s contribution to the landmark event, Lynne Greenwood said;

David played a key role in the successful delivery of the recent World Police and Fire Games Orientation Training; the largest ever gathering of its kind. David was enthusiastic and professional from the start, he chatted and met us beforehand to ensure his piece was pitched with a strong link to our overall message that volunteers would deliver the Friendliest Games; he didn’t miss this throughout his delivery. This event required something unique, something memorable and something that everyone would go home talking about – David delivered all of these! The standing ovation, cheers and whoops of over 3,000 people in one place at the end was testament to his fabulous involvement!

The WPFG is a biennial event for serving and retired police, fire, prison and border security officers comprising a wide range of individual and team sports. it was established by and organisation called the World Police & Fire Games Federation, based in San Diego, California.

It was a massive coup for Northern Ireland to win the right to stage the Games as it involved a very competitive process with numerous other cities bidding against Belfast. Indeed the 2013 event was the first time that they were hosted on the British Isles and only the third time in their 28 year history that they were hosted in Europe.

A company (2013 World Police & Fire Games Ltd) was set up to deliver the event. It was overseen by a Board of Directors Chaired by Deputy Chief Constable Judith Gillespie, including representatives from partner organisations including DCAL, PSNI, NIPS, NIFRS, Belfast City Council, NITB and Sport NI, plus three independent nominees.

Speaking about the opportunity, David said:

I perform at events all over the world now, but every once in a while an opportunity comes up that knocks even my socks off.  Building a motivational training and orientation program for over 3000 delegates has easily been the highlight of my year – and working with the WPFG team, JPR, and Volunteer now has been a real joy and pleasure.  I’ll not forget this event for a very long time indeed – THANK YOU WPFG!
